Clutch Repair and Services
How do you know if you have a clutch in your vehicle? For starters if your vehicle is Manual (stick shift) then you have a clutch that can be replaced and serviced. If you have an automatic transmission, your clutch is part of the transmission and will need to be serviced, rebuilt or replaced by a transmission shop. We do not provide that service for automatic transmission but we team up with a local shop that can get you back on the road.
How a Clutch Works
Basically, a clutch is flat disk with a friction surface that when engaged, pushes against the flywheel to allow the motor to power the transmission which in turn spins your tires. When you press in the clutch pedal, it disengages the clutch allowing the driver to choose which gear the vehicle needs to be in to operate.
Clutch Service & Clutch Replacement
Over time the friction material on the clutch wears off and the clutch will start to slip, or work improperly, making it hard to shift into or out of gears and will need to be replaced.
